Job opening: Senior Energy Risk Manager

We are searching for a Senior Energy Risk Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by securing new clients and promoting the company’s innovative energy risk management solutions. You will leverage your deep understanding of energy markets and financial hedging strategies to build strong relationships with potential clients, identify their pain points, and demonstrate how the company’s solutions can mitigate risk and optimise business stability through effective hedging strategie

Your main tasks and responsibilieies will be to: 

  • Learn to develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve assigned sales targets for energy risk management solutions.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify and qualify potential clients across various industries affected by energy price volatility.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of relationships with key decision-makers in target industries.
  • Negotiate and close sales contracts with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Provide ongoing support and contact to clients.
  • Track and analyse sales performance metrics and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date on the latest trends and developments in energy markets and risk management strategies to tailor presentations and conversations to client needs.

The candidate provides among others the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, energy economics, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the energy sector or financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and successfully closing deals.
  • Strong understanding of energy markets, including oil, natural gas, electricity, and relevant risk management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with potential clients at all levels.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to build trust with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close complex sales contracts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (a plus).
  • Fit in well to the team dynamics where we supplement and enhance our individual qualities and competences.
